Tad was born June 26, 1937 in Spindale, NC to Clarence and Viodia Campbell. He grew up in Spindale in a family of six children. After serving in the Army, he moved to Charlotte and began a long career with Carolina Tractor Company where he stayed until retirement.
He loved to travel, eat out and hunting. Tad will be remembered for his loving spirit and generosity serving as Deacon and in various other positions at Cornerstone Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Peggy Harris Campbell and his beloved dog, Dixie. In addition he is survived by sister Karen C. Sorrels and her husband, Ben of Midlothian, VA, uncle David Culbreth and sister-in-law, Frances B. Campbell of Charlotte, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at the graveside at Sharon Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 28 2021 at 11am.
