Lori Ann Washburn Furr

An accounting graduate from UNCC, Lori loved diving into the details of every challenge that came her way. She will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend who gave generously of her time to Pilgrim UCC and Girl Scouts. A life time Girl Scout member, Lori celebrated her love for the “out of doors” as a Girl Scout Leader and Backpacking trainer.

She is preceded in death by her father Roland Washburn and brother Andrew Washburn.

She is survived by her mother Jean Washburn; daughter Christina Furr; brother Robert Washburn and wife Glenda; sister Elizabeth Moore and husband Brian; and nine nephews and nieces.

Her family will receive friends on Friday June 6, 2014 from 5:30 – 6:30pm at the McEwen – Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road in Charlotte, followed by her funeral service at 6:30pm. Interment will be at 3:30pm on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Mount Lawn Memorial Park in Boone, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lori’s memory may be given to Hospitality House of Charlotte, 1400 Scott Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28203.
