Lois C. Childress

Lois C. Childress, age 90, of Gastonia, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Born July 31, 1933 in Charlotte, she was the daughter of Mabel Smith. She married Levi "LL" L. Childress Jr. on December 31, 1952 in York, SC.

A graduate of ASI School in Union Mills, NC, she was a member of Sunset Road Baptist Church. She retired from Mercy Hospital in Charlotte, NC after numerous years of employment.

Lois enjoyed spending her time gardening in her flower garden, her fur babies, cooking, time with her family and most of all she loved her Lord and Savior.

Survivors include her children, Sharon (Danny) Stewart, Richard (Paula) Childress and David (Cindy) Childress; grandchildren, Chad (Wendy) Stewart, Christopher Stewart, Charles Childress, Cody Childress, Dillon (McKenna) Childress, Kirby Childress and Wyatt (Maddie) Andresen; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Joseph, Hannah, Abigail and Sandi Anne Stewart; great, great-granddaughter, Irisia Stewart; sister-in-law, Colleen Cody; brother-in-law, Franklin Childress; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, daughter, Brenda Andresen and brother, William Jerry Cody.
