Linda Fay Lane

She is survived by her brothers, Don Lane (Cherry) & Chris Lane (Kitty), and her sister, Brenda Lane; her nephews Jimmy Blake, Devin Lane, and Patrick Lane (Katie), her niece, Meredith Lane, her great-nephews Tristan Blake and Emmett Lane, and great-niece, Mitzi Blake and Heidi Lane.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Judge & Katie Lane, and her niece, Angie Walker.

Linda was born on July the 3rd, 1960 in Virginia Beach, Virginia and moved with her family to Charlotte, NC in 1975. After graduating from West Charlotte High School, Linda studied early childhood education at Central Piedmont where she received her Certification to teach. Linda was currently employed by Busy Bee Academy, and loved working with her 3 year olds.

Linda played in a church soft ball league while in high school and became an avid sports fan. In dad's house you rooted for the Washington Redskins and later became a Panthers fan as well. Her big college team was the Duke Blue Devils. Unfortunately, this clashed with her twin sister, Brenda, who is a huge Tarheel fan.

She will be missed by her family, friends, and students, whom she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends at the McEwen Funeral Home, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC. on Thursday, February the 18th from 6PM to 8PM observing all health care guidelines.

A Family only service will held at Cokesbury United Methodist Church which will be live streamed on Facebook on Friday, February the 19th at 2PM.
