Born in Monroe, NC Larry was the son of Worth Layven Lee and Lois Griffin Lee. He retired from Charlotte Pipe & Foundry and was a legend in the drag racing community in and around Mooresville.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Bob Lee, Jean Jenkins and Lib Starnes.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Mitchell Lee; daughters Dawn Lee Redman and husband, Daryl and Ginger Lee Porter and husband Steve; grandchildren David, Dylan, Stevie, Dustin, Ava and Jon and dog Molly; siblings Charles Lee, Betty Griffin, Harry Lee, Mart Hunter, Lottie Hunter, Ruth Lee and Denis Lee.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 14 2020 at 11am at Sharon Memorial Park located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte.
