Larry Marion Bane

Born January 20, 1942 in Anderson, SC, Larry was the son of the late Norman Lee Bane and Susie Catherine Crocker Bane. He graduated from Boys High School in Anderson, SC.

Over his career, Larry worked for Owens Corning and Davis Mechanical, and then with Duke Power as a pipe-fitter in the nuclear industry, where he spent the majority of his career and retired. He later worked with The Atlantic Group.

Larry enjoyed boxing in his early years, and race car driving. He loved nature, walking, driving/sightseeing, the beach, the mountains, and his sweet dog Butch.

Larry was a loyal and loving husband to his wife, Sandra Ruth Standridge Bane, until her passing, and a devoted and loving father to his children Chris, Michele, and Catherine.

Larry later married Renee Cox Bane, and was devoted to her until his passing.

Larry was preceded in death by his brother Leroy, and grandson Reilly Neill.

Larry is survived by his brother Doug, of SC; his wife Renee, of Charlotte; his son Chris (Margaret), of Delaware; his daughter Michele Carroll (Lewis), of SC; his daughter Catherine (Arni) of SC; his stepdaughter Deborah Donald (Todd), of Charlotte; his stepdaughter Susan Cronin, of SC; grandchildren Amanda Cawood (Demitri), Bradley Bane, Hannah Ford (Tyler), Taylor Bane, Erin Bane and Michael Sexton; great grandchildren Kearstyn Barber and Lainleigh Ingalls; step-grandchildren Robyn Carroll, Ashley Burch (Heath) and Benjamin Donald, and step-great grandchildren Connor and Nora Burch.

A memorial service for Larry will be announced at a later date.
