Kathie Deaton McGee

Kathie led a life that epitomized loyalty, hospitality and selfless love. She remained married to the love of her life until her passing, a marriage that lasted over fifty years. She always found common ground, making friends wherever she went. House guests were welcomed with an authentic smile, and Kathie made sure they felt at home. As a mother and grandmother, she loved unconditionally and her hugs gave warmth to the soul.

Kathie was preceded in death by her step-son Michael E. McGee, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband Michael "Gene" McGee; son James Christopher McGee and wife Nate McGee; step-daughter Terri Glidewell; grandchildren Michael Eiden, Danielle McGee, Christopher McGee, Paxton Glidewell and Aaron McGee.

Visitation will take place at Mulberry Baptist Church, 6450 Tuckaseegee Road, Charlotte on Thursday, February 23, 2023 beginning at 11am. Funeral Service will follow at 1pm. Interment will be at Sharon Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mulberry Baptist Church in her memory.
