Karen S. Hambleton

Karen S. Hamblton, 67, of Gastonia, passed away peacefully October 5, 2022. Born March 9, 1955 in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of Homer and Mary (Harman) Tabor; the wife of Richard Hambleton Sr.

She was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, David (Jody) Hambleton; daughter, Elizabeth Hambleton; daughter-in-law, Angel Killian; grandchildren, Thomas Hambleton, David Hambleton Jr., Savannah Hambleton, Tyler (Stephanie) Hambleton, Landen Hambleton, Kayden Lyall, Patrick Lyall Jr. and Isaiah Hambleton; great-grandson, Tobias Hambleton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Sara Lyall; son, Richard Hambleton Jr. and sister, Leigh Tabor.

A visitation for Karen will be held Monday, October 10, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:15 PM in Forest Lawn West Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.
