Born July 20th, 1944, Judy is the daughter of William Kelly Milton and Cornelia Dorton Milton, both of whom predeceased Judy. Judy Graduated from Rancocas High School in New Jersey, at which she met her husband-to-be, the late Thomas Richard Clark. Judy and Tom were married for eight years.
With her infant Son, Matthew Milton Clark, Judy took on a life as a single parent, working with Continental Trailways where she worked for twenty years, until their closure. During her tenure with Trailways, she broke the gender barrier, being the first female to serve in a senior role as Treasurer of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1531. Shortly after Continental Trailways ceased operations, Judy went to work with Mecklenburg County, serving across a variety of administrative roles. Judy retired from Mecklenburg County in 2008, following a Stage 4 Ovarian cancer diagnosis in 2006. Judy was a cancer survivor of 17 years.
Judys focus on her family was the joy of her life. She helped raise her grandchildren, providing care as infants and supporting their development. One, or both, of her grandsons visited with her daily. Judy was a kind-hearted person who dedicated her life to serving others. Her offering of love and support to others was without limit and she worked tirelessly in support of her family. Judy was neither shy nor timid, having completed her scuba certification at 52 years old and also making three skydives with her son, Matthew. She regularly attended the ice hockey games for both of her grandsons and her adult son, Matthew.
Judy is survived by her son Matthew Clark, daughter-in-law Barbara Clark, and two treasured Grandsons, William Kelley Clark (19) and Nathaniel Killian Clark (15), all of York, SC.
