Joe was a Veteran, a successful business owner, a prominent leader in the church ranging from Nursery Coordinator, Youth Director, College & Career Director, Sunday School Teacher, Lifelong Deacon, and even Maintenance and Grounds Keeping.
He was a beloved and devoted husband, daddy, grandfather and great grandfather who shared his time, talents and treasures without reservation.
Joe never let an opportunity pass to witness of the love of Jesus and the Precious Gift of Eternal Life. He truly "Talked the Talk" and followed through by "Walking the Walk" for Jesus.
On Sunday, April 16, 2023, Joe peacefully went to sleep and woke up in ‘The New City of God’ to be greeted by Jesus; his beloved wife of 71 years, Joan; all the loved ones who preceded him in death and all the lives he had a part in leading to Heaven.
Joe is survived by his three children, Wanda Berry, Scott Padgett and Brenda Burrell; 5 grandchildren (one of which preceded him to Heaven); and 10 great grandchildren.
Joe, your Influence will NEVER be forgotten…
Your Example will ALWAYS be followed...
AND
Your Testimony Has ALWAYS and Will ALWAYS touch the lives of others!!
REST IN PEACE BEAUTIFUL SOUL!!!
