He died on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.
He was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, Woodbridge, NJ, and Rutgers University College with a degree in Business Administration.
He served in the U.S. Navy from Sept. 14, 1945, to Nov. 8, 1948.
He worked for Labor Union 1456, NYC, Dock Builders for 40 years, as a journeyman, foreman, general foreman, superintendent, and project manager.
Surviving are his son, John Michael Peterson, and wife, Rosie, Charlotte; his daughter, Amy Longo, and husband Robert C., Monmouth Beach, NJ; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and his brother, Peter Peterson, Morganville, NJ.
