He completed his education at East Mecklenburg High School. Jackie was the family security guard, expert fisherman, go-cart racer, computer whiz, Amazon secret shopper and seafood aficionado.
Jackie saw the world from a child's eyes, seeing the innocence and goodness in all people. He had a great sense of humor and loved pranks and jokes. He had many joys in his life, including anything Dale Jr., finding coins everywhere he went, going to the beach with family and friends and being the man of the house after his father's passing in 1999.
Jackie was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy, and grandparents, Bud and Mary Alys Harkey and Jack and Myrle Renfrow. He is survived by his mother, Robbie; brothers, Reid (Bonnie), Rodney (Ryan), and Jeff; and his niece, Taylor. He is also survived by numerous beloved relatives, his three cats and dog.
A service to celebrate Jackie's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, at Sardis Presbyterian Church. There will be a brief reception in the Church Education Hall from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memory Gardens for those who wish to attend.
