Joe Cecil McGinnis Jr.

Joe was a very loving father and grandfather. He was a passionate and compassionate man who had a great love of his family, Jesus, golf, camping, and riding motorcycles. He was also a writer and a very carefree spirit that will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

In his working life Joe was a salesman, an auto mechanic shop owner, and worked in auto body shops all around the Charlotte area.

Joe is preceeded in death by his late parents Joe Cecil McGinnis,Sr and Libby Bridges Matthews of Charlotte. Also a brother Kem (Fuzz) McGinnis and a nephew Jerermy McGinnis both of Charlotte.

Joe leaves surviving family; sons Joseph McGinnis of Cornelius and David Wilson of Greenville, SC; daugher Carly McGinnis of Charlotte; and granddaughter Reese McGinnis of Huntersville; siblings Anda Reed and Jim & Nancy McGinnis both of Charlotte; sister-in-law Melodie McGinnis of Charlotte; loving companion dog Dexter, as well as many nieces and nephews and countless friends.

Memorial services will held at Latta Plantation Nature Reserve, Shelter #2 at 1:30pm on Saturday, March 3rd. Services will be officiated by Charlie Clark.
