Joanne Jewell Jacobs

Joanne Jewell Jacobs of Charlotte, North Carolina age 88 passed away on June 23, 2019. She was born on November 1, 1930 to Jesse and Alice Jewell in Lebanon, TN. After graduating from Lebanon High School she married the love of her life Josephus Daniel Jacobs. A few years later she attended Pembroke State College Now UNC-Pembroke graduating suma cum laude with a BS degree in Education. She taught school for 32 years.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe, sisters Myrtle Jewell Oxendine and Shirley Jewell Smith. She is survived by her daughters Jewell Mikula (JP) and Jamie Jacobs. Also her grandchildren....Jessica Johnson(Tommy), Molly Parris(Jeremy), Alex Mikula, Ryan Mikula and great grandson Perry Johnson.

Joanne was a kind, compassionate. She loved all her family and she was a passionate disciple of Christ.

The family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Senior Care Carolinas-Kannapolis House and Hospice and Palliative Care Lake Norman for their loving care shown to our Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend.
