Jean Bingham Helms

Jean Bingham Helms, 80, of Monroe, went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2011. Jean was born in Union County on May 10, 1931. She attended Mineral Springs High School where she was a cheerleader and she graduated in 1949.

Jean was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas L. Helms; her second husband, Hal L. McNeely; grandson, Matthew C. McCoy and all of her older siblings.

She is survived by her daughters; Diane Countryman (Jerry), Debby Sineath (John), and her son, Thomas Lee Helms, Jr. (Lisa); granddaughter, Kayla Jean McCoy and fiancé, Dean Plyler; grandsons, Eric McCoy (Linda), Grant Hensley, Nathan Helms, Cody Helms and JP Sineath and his fiancé, Jamie Ross; great granddaughters, Katie Hensley and Kinzey McManus; great grandsons, Logan Hensley and Jax McCoy; step sister, Libby Thomas (Addison) and step brother, John Starnes (Paula) as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 2:00pm at Siler Presbyterian Church 6301 Weddington-Monroe Rd. Wesley Chapel, NC 28104. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery.
