He was born on March 16, 1929 in Mecklenburg County, NC.
Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents, one son, one brother, and two sisters.
He is survived by his children, Ronnie (Kathi), Shelley, and Kim; his granddaughter, Taylor (Travis); one great-granddaughter; and one brother, Bob (Martha).
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Drive in Charlotte. A visitation with the family will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care – Charlotte Region.
