Hope Currier

Born March 2, 1921, in Leavenworth, Kansas to Mary Ellen and Tony Hereford. She moved to El Paso, Texas, with her husband, Francis William (Barney) Currier where they shared a wonderful life together for over 50 years. Hope moved to Charlotte, NC, in 1993 where she devoted her time to the Opera Guild, Mint Museum, and many more organizations as well as her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Melissa Evans and Melanie Pofahl; sons-in-law, Ben Evans and David Pofahl; and her grandchildren, Melissa and Melinda Hayes, Chaz and Maddi Pofahl, and Rob Witholder.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 16, 2015, at 1:00pm followed by her memorial service at 2:00pm at the McEwen-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, in Charlotte. Reverend Scott Suskovic will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Hope’s memory may be given to Christ Lutheran Church, 4519 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC 28226.
