Evelyn S. Clark

Mrs. Clark, age 86 passed away Friday February 20 at Carillon Assisted Living in Monroe, NC. She was born September 28, 1928, in Cooleemee, NC to the late Walter Benton and Blanche Parker Stevenson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold B. Clark and her sister Peggy Keith. Mrs. Clark was a member of Myers Park United Methodist Church and worked as a legal secretary for a number of years. To those she loved, she is remembered as: feisty, protective, loving, an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, enjoyed sports and spring bouquets. The family will receive friends for a reception and visitation starting 1:00 P. M. on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel at 5716 Monroe Road Charlotte, NC 28212 followed by a funeral service at 2:00 P. M. in the funeral home chapel . Private Interment will follow services. She is survived by two daughters: Robin Funderburk of Monroe, NC and Sandi Covington and husband Chris of Indian Trail,NC and her grand dog “Cinnamon”. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Carillon as well as Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte for their compassionate care of Mrs. Clark.
