Esther Jane Lawing Howell left this world to the restful arm's of Jesus,on January 9,2015. Born on September 22 1920 to the late Mackie and Ruth Lawing. Esther spent her life as a housewife and homemaker, filling the lives of her family with love.
In addition to her parents Esther was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Howell, son Steve Howell,daughter-in-law Bernie Howell, two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by Daughter Pam Howell of Charlotte, sons Phillip Howell and wife Pam of Denver, NC, and Bill Howell of Charlotte, daughter-in-law Candy Howell of Charlotte, six grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
Funeral services for Esther will be held Monday, January 12 at Eleven O'clock in the morning, at the Paul Helton Chapel, Forest Lawn West, burial to follow in Sharon Memorial Park, with Rev. Alan Higgins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Sunday January 11 at Forest Lawn West.
