Ellen Marie Smith, 84, of Mt. Holly, NC passed away on June 28, 2016. She was born in McDowell Co., WV on April 1, 1932 to Herbert William Belcher & Ellen Bowles.
She is survived by her son, Alan Dane Smith (Renee); sister, Brenda Toth; niece, Warreania Thompson; grandson, Justin Ward (Melanie); granddaughter, Lindy Newsome (Jason); and 4 great grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Harold M. Smith, her son Daryl Smith and her parents.
A visitation will be held at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Dr., Charlotte, NC 28208 on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm. Funeral services will follow the visitation with Pastor Mike Ivey officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
