Ellen was married to the late Billy Joe Griffin for 40 years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.
Ellen was preceded in death by three sisters, Lucille Helms, Marlene Helms and Lavonne Smith.
Ellen is survived by two daughters, Pamela Yacuzzo (Vince) and Deborah Whitley; three sisters, Ruth McGee, Pauline Kiker, and Susan Woodworth; one brother, Aundrie Helms; three grandchildren, Joe Elliott (Cindy), Todd Elliott (Mandi) and Cassie Goodan; 3 great grandchildren, Kristina Jo Elliott, James Coltin Elliott and Olivia Claire Goodan and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home. The visitation will begin one hour prior. Burial will be in the Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Rev. Ken Hucks of Sardis Baptist Church of Indian Trail is officiating.
