Dustin graduated from Butler High School in 2006 where he played football and baseball. After graduation, he attended Western Carolina University and University of North Carolina in Charlotte. Most recently, he was employed with Sunbelt Sign Supplies in Midland, North Carolina.
What Dustin loved most, was spending time with his son Emmett, who was his pride and joy. He was a big sports fan; loving the Tarheels, Braves, Panthers, Hornets, and Clemson Tigers. Dustin also had a huge passion for NASCAR. His favorite drivers were Dale, Dale Jr. and Kyle Larson. Dustin loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Emmett Robert Fite; his parents, Michael and Terri; brother Dillon; grandparents, Don Perry, Rena Archilla; former wife and faithful friend to the end, Danielle Sansevero; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
His grandparents, Mac and Reba Fite, and uncle, Bob Cline predeceased him.
The family would like to thank the staff at Presbyterian Main Hospital for giving Dustin such loving care. Thank you to family, friends and co-workers for their tremendous outpouring of love and support. Fly high our precious Dustin, until we meet again.
A visitation for Dustin will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227, followed by a memorial service at 5:00 PM.
The family would appreciate memorials be made to his son Emmett using the "Go Fund Me" link under "Donations" on Dustin's obituary site.
