Dorothy Comer Trull

She was born on February 4th 1920 in High Point, NC to the late Joe Glenn and Corinna Hunter Comer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Woodrow “Woody” Trull, daughter Donna Trull Pennell, two brothers JG Comer, Jr, Jim Comer, sister Millie Cochrane, great grandson David Gunter and great-great granddaughter Tori Hazelton.

Dot is survived by her sisters Lib Alexander and Linda Peterson (Bill) of Wilmington, NC, son William “Bill” Trull (Linda) of St. Johns, FL, grandsons William Trull Jr. (Stephanie) of Carolina Shores, NC, Matthew Pennell of Murrells Inlet, SC, granddaughters Shelly Hunter (James) of Easley, SC, Keri Russell (Jeremy) of Lake Park, NC, Ashley Williams (Scott) of Charlotte, NC, Cathy Ballard (David) of Carolina Shores, NC and Amanda Lindler of Claremont, NC, 16 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Dot was a longtime member of Cole Memorial United Methodist Church and spent her lifetime serving her Lord and Savior in caring for so many others. She loved spending time with family, church, friends, traveling, loving her pets, shopping and enjoyed all her clubs and other fellowship activities.

A remarkable woman, wonderful wife, mother, Maw Maw, and friend, she will truly be missed until we see her again.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 20th 2023 from 10:30 to 11AM at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte. Graveside service will begin at 11am in Sharon Memorial Park, officiated by the Reverend Patience Brumley.
