Born August 20, 1946 in Neosho, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lillian Short. Diana was a lifelong Soldier of The Salvation Army in Little Rock, Arkansas. She graduated from Hall High. She made her life career as a waitress, where she made a joyful impact on her customers. While living in Charlotte, NC, she attended The Salvation Army Charlotte Temple and Resurrection Church. She proudly shared with people she met about her sister and brother-in-law’s ministry with The Salvation Army.
The joy of Dianna’s life was her family. She adored her great-nephews, Hunter and Noah. Fishing with them was a favorite activity to do with them. She was an avid sci-fi movie critic and enjoyed watching sports.
She is survived by her sister, Kay Lancaster, brother-in-law, Bobby Lancaster; her nieces Melissa Corzine (husband, Dale and nephew, Hunter), April Lancaster-Meitus (husband, Greg Meitus and nephew, Noah Meitus).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lillian Short and her brother, Calvin Ray Short.
A service to celebrate Dianna’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2020 in the chapel of The Salvation Army Charlotte Temple Corps- 940 Marsh Road. The family will receive friends following the service.
