Mrs. Williams was born October 29, 1955 in Salisbury, daughter of the late Elmer Cordell Hess and Ruby Helena Almond Hess. She earned her Master’s Degree and was a teacher for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System. She taught history at Garinger, North Mecklenburg, and Rocky River High Schools.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis A. Williams, III of Indian Trail; a daughter, Amanda Nicole (David A.) Dobrich of Charlotte; a son, James Adam (Olivia) Price of Troutman; two step-sons, Peter Jackson (Jennifer) Williams of Charlotte and Benjamin Alexander (Kayla) Williams of Ft. Leonard Hood, MO; four grandchildren, Lilly Elaine Price, James Andrew Dobrich, Brody and Jack Williams; two sisters; a brother; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013 in Philadelphia Presbyterian Church, Mint Hill. The family will gather to receive friends immediately following the service in the Kerr Building.
