Mr. Piendel, 69, of Charlotte passed away peacefully on March 28, 2015 with his family by his side.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Marian Piendel, mother, Mary Chubeck Piendel, sister, Carolyn Jayde (Merle), daughter Amanda Houshour (Jeffrey), son Jonathan Piendel, grandson Jett Houshour, stepsons, Spencer King and Samuel King, nephews Chad Conover (Renee) and David Conover. He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Joseph Piendel.
David was born on January 28, 1946 in Rochester, NY and was retired from a career in retail management and consulting. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where he earned a degree in Economics. David was an avid reader and had many passions including art, politics, travel, photography, walking the beach, sports, biking/hiking.
A private ceremony will be held on the North Carolina shore where the family frequently vacationed.
