David William Munday

Dave was the first to greet you with a warm bear hug, and a funny story to share or a quick joke to tell. He and the love of his life for the past 60 years, Lynn, loved nothing more than getting together with friends and family for food, fellowship, and fun, and Dave was often the life of the party. They celebrated the blessings of their life together with an unforgettable trip earlier this year, one of many incredible travels made over the years. Dave’s deep laugh and quick smile will long be remembered by the many lives he touched.

In addition to his beloved soulmate, Lynn, Dave leaves behind his four adult children and 6 beautiful grandchildren who were undeniably his pride and joy. Dave loved to get absorbed in a good WWII book or documentary, the excitement of travelling the open road on one of his many motorcycles and sharing a cold beer from a lawn chair in his garage.... but above all things, he loved time spent with his family especially when there was a game of cards or dice to be played.

All are invited to celebrate his life on Wednesday, September 7th, 2022 at St. Luke Catholic Church, located at 13700 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227. Visitation with family will be from 10:00-11:00am, with the Requiem Mass immediately following. Live stream of the service available at
