Charlotte, NC – Connie Arazie Taylor, 73, passed away on June 17, 2019. She was the loving mother of Laurayne Bruner Velasco (Ferdinand), Lieutenant Colonel Ret. Al Bruner USAF (Lisa), Heather Osterweil, and Michael Osterweil (Darshinee). She was a devoted grandmother to her twelve grandchildren: Matthew Cendrowski (Sara), Jonathon Cendrowski, Jordan Romans (Tyler), Harley Velasco, Hope Velasco, Mary-Margaret Bruner, Ashley Bruner, Rebecca Bruner, Bethany Bruner, Hunter Osterweil, Alex Osterweil, and Jacob Osterweil. She is also survived by her two great-grandchildren, Tristan and Vivienne.
Born October 17, 1945 in Columbia, South Carolina to David Samuel and Grace Blondell Arazie. She is pre-deceased by her parents and her brother, Norman Arazie. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Arazie Gossett (Gene). Connie graduated from Cardinal Newman High School and studied at the University of South Carolina. Much of her career was spent as a Fine Jewelry Sales Manager.
Connie was well-traveled and checked off many bucket-list destinations such as Japan, Australia, Germany, France, Austria, England, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, the American Antilles, Mexico, Canada, New Zealand, Alaska, and Fiji. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed simple pleasures. Connie loved gardening, collecting antiques, and sharing love through her cooking. She will be missed immensely.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 in the chapel of Hebrew Cemetery, 1801 Statesville Avenue, Charlotte.
