Christopher Edwin Ross

Christopher Edwin Ross, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully at home on August 5, 2011. He was born on June 25, 1990 in Richmond, VA. Although Chris was only 21 years old, he touched the lives of so many young and old with his charm, wit and humor. Chris was attending Central Piedmont Community College and planned to attend a four year college. Truth be known, he would have rather skipped all that and begin to produce music. He was passionate about music and sports. Although he struggled with asthma most of his life, he still loved being with his friends and family and was always surrounded by them. Chris loved his little brother, Hayden very much.

Chris is survived by his parents, Cindy and Mike Ross; brother, Hayden Ross; grandparents, Marvin and Rhumell Ross of Raleigh, NC; uncle, Steve Ross of Wilmington, NC; aunts and uncles, Tom and Terri Hepler of Raleigh and Janet and Walker Reagen of Cary; great-aunt, Virginia Hailey of Raleigh; cousins Justin and Amanda Ross of Wilmington; Jason, Travis and Josh Helper of Raleigh; Wen (Casey) Dunham of Durham and Daven and Mills Reagan of Cary and girlfriend, Mandy Williams of Mint Hill. Chris is predeceased by his grandparents, Arthur & Delma Mills.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Matthews United Methodist Church, 801 South Trade Street, Matthews, NC 28105.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Matthews United Methodist Church towards Chris’ favorite charities.
