Cheryl Lynne Dodd

Ms. Dodd was born to Bill and Mary Dodd on November 24, 1948, in Alton, Illinois.

She is survived by her siblings, Dianna Dodd and Rodney Dodd of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Terry Dodd (Pam) of Simpsonville, South Carolina; nephews, Kendrick Dodd of Simpsonville, South Carolina and Patrick Dodd (Chrissy) of Pendleton, South Carolina; and grandniece, Charlee Grae Dodd of Pendleton, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Dodd, her mother, Mary Dodd, and her brother, Ricky Dodd of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Ms. Dodd was a beloved daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. She was an avid gardener, passionate professional organizer, lover of all things artistic and creative, and devoted friend and confidant. Her work was her service, she once said. Whatever work she chose to do, she did it wholeheartedly and with a desire to be a beacon of God’s light. She was always ready to provide help when it was needed. As one friend expressed, “If someone needed help and Cheryl could help them, she did.”

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the doctors and nurses at the Oncology Unit at Atrium CMC Main and Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region.

A service to celebrate Cheryl's life will be held 11:00 am Saturday, June 4, 2022, at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception at the funeral home.
