Charlotte was born on April 14, 2016, and from her first moments, we knew she was marked for something far greater than her years. With eyes full of wisdom, a gentle, calm, and peaceful spirit, and a demeanor that sparked joy in all of those who knew her, Charlotte was the perfect addition to our family.
On July 31, 2018, Charlotte was diagnosed with Metachromatic Leukodystrophy, a degenerative disease that slowly robbed our darling girl of her abilities and special milestones. What it couldn’t steal, however, was the sparkle that was deeply embedded within her.
In her five years on earth, our beloved girl impacted lives around the world as she displayed her natural charm, ebullience, and joy. Charlotte’s smile and strength will live on through the tenacity of her precious big sister, Camille and the effervescence of her darling little brother, Lochlan.
We take comfort in knowing that while we saw Charlotte’s last smile on Earth, Heaven received her first restored smile – perhaps her brightest yet, and we have the weighty privilege of carrying her legacy forward for generations.
Charlotte is also survived by her adoring parents, April and Ian. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Jim Robson and great-uncle, Rob Gandy.
The family will receive visitors Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at Hope Community Church. A service to celebrate Charlotte’s life will take place at 11:00 am Friday at Sharon Presbyterian Church.
