Born September 11, 1939 in Pickens County, SC, Mr. Moore retired after 30 years of service with A. G. Boone Trucking Co. and was a member of the Local 71.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Isabel Moore; and five children, Billie Smart, Patricia Gordon (Charles), Mary Shabica (Carl), Darlene Burch and Anthony Moore (Jennifer).
Mr. Moore’s family also includes his grandchildren, Joseph Childers (Christina), Bryan Childers (Jennifer), Crystal Moore (Brent), Patrick Gordon (Kristen), Elizabeth Thomas (Randy), Casey Smith, Clair Coulson (Daniel), Michael Spurr (Janna), Thomas Burch (Danielle), Misty Burch, Michael Moore, Laura Seefeld (Stephen), and David Moore; and great grandchildren, Hannah Thomas, Scott Thomas, Dana Thomas, Rachel Spurr, Sofia Coulson, Shawnee Childers, Anna Childers, Jacie Childers, Danielle Childers, Sarah Moore, Keira Moore, Cameron Gordon, Caleb Burch, Jacob Seefeld, Rachel Childers and Daniel Childers.
Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Frank Moore (Linda), Bill Moore (Betty), Harold Moore (Judy), Paul Moore, Fred Moore (Carol), Mildred Duffle (Jim), Molly Keith and Martha Riddle (Terry).
Mr. Moore was predeceased by his parents, Sherman H. and Tilly Moore; his step-mother, Christine Moore; a brother, Vernon Moore; and five sisters, Mary Taylor, Pauline Taylor, Catherine Taylor, Carol Ann Pitts and Stella Redding.
A service to celebrate Mr. Moore’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 27th in the chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, April 26th at the funeral home.
