Carolyn "Jean" Hilton Hinson

A native of Charlotte, Mrs. Hinson was born to the late Willis Brown Hilton and Mamie Louise Broome Hilton on January 6, 1934. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Hinson was a very loving and caring mother who will be missed dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charles Lewis Hinson, Sr.

Mrs. Hinson is survived by her children, Patricia Dulin of Charlotte, Diann Evans and husband Rick of Mississippi, Vicky Hinson of Charlotte, Charles Lewis Hinson, Jr. and wife Joyce of Concord; brother, Ted Hilton of Matthews; sisters, Betty Eddins and Janet Cable both of Charlotte, Linda Helms of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Charles Cooper and wife Gina, Angela Ramsey and husband Lee, Jimmy Hinson; great-grandchildren, Collin Lee Cooper, Madeline Ramsey and very special friend, Barbara Green of Charlotte.

The funeral service will be held 2:00pm, Wednesday, November 30 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
