Born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 10, 1942, she was a daughter of the late E.H.Menne and Maime Miller Menne.
Carole, a faithful member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, had attended the University of Virginia at Annadale and retired as a real estate broker.
Preceding Carole in death were her husband, Thomas C. Porter; a sister, Mill Imbriale and a brother, E.H. “Bud” Menne.
Surviving are her children, Linda S. Porter, Thomas C. Porter II, Kelly L. Porter and Karolyn E. Puran and husband, Vince Puran; two grandchildren, Kadence Puran and Kayla Puran and a sister, Virginia “Sis” Zimmerman.
A Funeral Mass is planned for 10:00 am Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Chuch, 1400 Suther Rd., Charlotte, NC 28213. Carole’s final resting place will be at the church. A Wake is also planned for 5:00 pm Wednesday evening at the Porter house, 6928 Neuhoff Lane, Charlotte, NC 28269.
