Carol Huffling Mackey, 65, of Mooresville, passed away on October 2, 2015 at Carolinas Healthcare System, NE in Concord. A native of Richland County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Francis Huffling and Mary Frances Williams Huffling. She was of the Baptist faith and worked as a Sales Associate for most of her career. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister.
Surviving Mrs. Mackey is her son, Thomas Mullins, Jr. and his wife Monica of Cornelius, NC; by a daughter, Donita Carol Strong and her husband Mark of Burke, Virginia; and by her son, Rodger Mullins of Mooresville, NC. Also surviving are eight beloved grandchildren and three brothers, Perry Alton Huffling of Iron Station, Larry Earl Huffling of Charlotte, and Harold Dean Huffling of Stanfield.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius.
