Carl Pressley

Carl Michael "Mickey" Pressley, age 89 went to be with The Lord during the evening hours on Friday, January 19, 2024. Carl was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend to many.

Carl touched many lives over the years with his love, warmth and never met a stranger.

Carl was born on November 13, 1934 to Carl Monroe Pressley and Loma Cordell Whitley in Charlotte, North Carolina. He graduated from West Mecklenburg High School in 1953 and later attended Clemson University.

Carl served his Country in the United States Army. He had a long and successful career in electrical engineering at Duke Power.

In his free time he loved to do puzzles, take walks, play with his grandchildren and watch them play baseball and softball. He loved his church and he loved to talk to any and everyone.

His family was his entire world. He leaves behind his loving wife of 66 years, Dorothy Pressley; son Michael Pressley and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Pressley; grandchildren Cody Pressley (Skyler), Mady Peterson (Paul); two great grandchildren Hudson Peterson and Bodie Pressley; Brother Robert (Charlie) Pressley (Brenda); nieces and nephews.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents; sister Carol Braswell; brother-in-law Jimmy Braswell.

A Visitation for Carl will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte followed by a Graveside Service at Sharon Memorial Park following.

Arrangements are under the care of McEwen Funeral Services at Sharon Memorial Park.
