He graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in business and spent most of his career in the food and beverage industry. He enjoyed sports, golfing, playing water volleyball, and spending time with friends and family. A consummate practical joker with an excellent sense of humor, he never met a stranger and could always be counted on for a good joke and a kind word. The last 20 years of his life were spent bartending at Zee’s Tavern where he was the “face behind the bar” and will be greatly missed.
Brian is survived by his longtime partner Melissa Kupec, of Charlotte, NC, daughter Alison of Brooklyn, NY, his mother, Jeanne of Fort Mill, SC; sisters Kate Eaton of Clover, SC, Amy Tripp (Tony) of Lexington, NC, Elaine Brooks (Chris) of Rock Hill, SC, two nieces and two nephews, and many beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Blair and his father, Thomas Pentland.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held in July. Details will be posted on EverLoved.com.
