Bobby Stevens Kinley of Indian Trail went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 19, 2015. He was an amazing man who lived and loved well and continued this example up to the end. He was born in Weddington, NC to Jessie and Lydia Kinley on a dairy farm. Bobby was in the United States Air Force. He then went to work for Glidden Paint Company and he retired after 30 years. Bobby was a member of the Masonic Lodge and very active in the Shriners. Bobby was a volunteer for Hospice and helped bring many souls to Jesus Christ. He was an active member in the Weddington United Methodist Church sine he was a small boy.
Bobby’s greatest passion was not only his Lord and Savior but his loving wife of 54 years, JoAnn Kinley. He is survived by one son, Jack Kinley, wife Bonnie; one daughter, Susan Workman, husband Tim; six grandkids and eleven great grandkids and many many friends.
Visitation will be held at Weddington United Methodist Church, 13901 Providence Road, Weddington, NC at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 24, 2015 with a funeral service to celebrate Bobby’s life following at 11. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Weddington United Methodist Church or Novant Health Hospice, P.O. Box 33549, Charlotte, NC 28233.
