Billie H. Welch, 82, of Charlotte, died on November 10, 2015 at Scotia Village in Laurinburg, NC. She was born in Cherokee County, SC on June 19, 1933 to the late Wilbert Dayton Hammett and Lennie Martin Hammett.
Left to cherish Billie’s memory is her husband of 57 years Hobert Welch; a daughter Nancy Demus and husband David; a son Doug Welch; a sister Annie Ruppe; brothers Forrest Hammett and wife Katie, Robert Hammett and wife Brenda and Maynard Hammett.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Glenn Hammett and her sisters Marjorie Padgett and Mary Brown.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 1:30 at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte followed by a service at 2:30 in the chapel. Burial will conclude in Sharon Memorial Park.
