Betty Lou Waters

Betty Brunson Waters, 82, of Mint Hill passed away Monday evening of June 9th, 2014. Betty was born on Christmas Eve, December 24th of 1931 in Hartsville, SC. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Troy Beach Waters, to whom she married in 1952.

Betty graduated from Mercy School of Nursing and received her RN in Nursing. She was an excellent nurse, well loved by her coworkers and patients. She spent 50 years between Mercy and Presbyterian.

Betty was a strong woman, deeply rooted in her faith, the rock of her family, and a dedicated member to her church, Arlington Baptist in Mint Hill.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by her sons Mike Waters and wife Patricia, Richard Waters and wife, Joan, Ronnie Waters and wife Angie, Mark Waters and wife Cindy, and her daughter Terrie Atkinson.

She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, who will miss their mawmaw greatly.

The visitation for Betty will be held Thursday, June 12, at 11 am at Arlington Baptist Church with a celebration of life service at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Arlington Baptist Church Building Fund, 9801 Arlington Church Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
