Betty Thompson Perry

She was born June 5, 1943 in Charlotte, NC to Shady and Amelia “Ruth” Baxley Thompson. She attended Gloryland Baptist Church. Spending time with her family and friends was what she found most dear.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert “Bobby” Perry; her daughter JoAnn Hepler (Wesley) of Concord, her son William “Eddie” Perry (Cathy) of Greensboro, her daughter, Kimberlie “Kim” Jungheim (Jeff) of Buffalo, NY; her seven grandchildren, Nicholas VanHorn, Samantha Coy, Michael Perry, Justin VanHorn, Steven Perry, Alicia Perry, Jessica Jungheim; her two step-grandchildren, Logan and Cody Hepler; one great-grandson Brody Hicks; her sister, Bobbie Thompson Barnhardt of Huntersville and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Willliam Charles Thompson and Thomas Edward Thompson.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, March 17, 2011 in McEwen Funeral Service Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Road. The celebration of her life will follow the visiting hours at 7:00 PM, with Pastor Sammy Case officiating.
