Betty was born in Charlotte on September 18, 1944 to the late John and Esther Turner and she graduated from Garinger High School in 1962. She was a longtime member of Whiting Avenue Baptist Church and a current member of St. John's Baptist Church. Betty was a retired secretary and bookkeeper, enjoyed taking care of her husband, children, home and she loved taking care of all their many animals. She is preceded in death by her husband B. Carlisle Crenshaw, Jr.
Betty is survived by her children B. Carlisle Crenshaw, III (Kimberly), Cathy Crenshaw Tysinger (Mark); grandchildren Sage Crenshaw, Jade Doheny; niece Brennen Jenkins Massengill, sister-in-law Sarah Crenshaw Jenkins and by many cousins. A special thanks to Dennis and Antha Reidl.
A visitation for Betty will be held Friday, November 22, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28262, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 PM.
