Beth Anne Mabey

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Percival Mabey; parents, Edna and Jack Walsh; and sister, Sharon Kulikowski.

Her legacy will be carried on by her five children: Dawn Darleston-Jones (Liam), Dion Mabey (Dawn), Jennifer Grella (Michael), Mary O’Rourke (Sean), and Megan Bloomberg (David); ten grandchildren: Vaughn Darleston-Jones (Jade), Kym Darleston-Jones (Lance), Whitney Darleston-Jones (Trent), Simon Mabey(Amy), Lee Mabey (Michelle), Ross Mabey, Michael Grella, Matthew Grella, Sean O’Rourke, and Jack O’Rourke; her sister, Jacqueline Booker; and brother, Patrick Walsh; along with numerous great- grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Beth was born and raised in New York. She raised her family on Long Island. She worked for the Board of Education, for over 20 years. Percy and Beth retired to Charlotte to enjoy their golden years, while spending the summer back on Long Island. Beth was a lover of life and never met a stranger. She was quick with a joke, first one to dance and join in the fun. She will be loved and missed by all.

A visitation for Beth will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210, followed by a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM.
