Barbara Jean (Baidel) Kranz

She was born August 5, 1929 to Charles and Blanche Baidel in Erie, Michigan. She resided in Toledo, Ohio until 1961 when she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. Barbara was a loving caring person that treasured her family above all else. She was a passionate artist who loved drawing and painting. She was strong in her faith, supported and loved by the congregation of Messiah Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Blanche; her adopted Mother Carolyn; her husband, Bill; two sisters; a brother; and her daughter-in-law, Betty.

She is survived by her son, Charles Kranz; her daughter, Cindy (Randy) Smith; three grandchildren, Robert Smith, Jason (Sara) Kranz and April (Chris) Dugan; and two great-grandchildren Adyson Dugan and Kole Smith. She is also survived by her sister, Ellen (Kevin) Klepacz, and her loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place at McEwen Funeral Home. 10500 Park Road, Charlotte NC 28210 on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

Funeral Service will take place at McEwen Funeral Home, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210 on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 9:00am.

Entombment will follow the service at Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte.
