Angela Lea Buchanan, 45, died suddenly Thursday, April 18, 2013 at CMC-University. The daughter of Alice Collins Buchanan and the late Freddie Lea Buchanan, she was born in Tacoma, WA on October 22, 1967. Miss Buchanan retired from the U.S. Navy and was an admissions supervisor at UNC-Charlotte. She was a member of Evangel Worship Center in Concord, NC.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 11AM, Friday, April 26th in The Derita Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00PM to 9:00PM Thursday evening. Interment with full military honors will be at 1:00PM, Tuesday, April 30th at Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.
In addition to her mother, Miss Buchanan is survived by a son, Glenn Ball, of Charlotte; a daughter, Alison Ball, of Charlotte; two brothers, Dewevai Buchanan and wife Andrenae, of Frisco, TX, Mark Buchanan, of Monroe, LA; a sister Linda Allen, of Concord and two grandchildren.
