Alison was born on November 10, 1974, in Hickory, North Carolina, to parents Stephen Musgrove and Donna Taylor. She graduated East Mecklenburg High School and later received her certification from T.E.A.C.H that allowed her to work with special needs children.
Alison had three children, Brandon, Samuel, and Faith, and she was overjoyed when she became a grandmother to Kaden. She loved her family and welcomed any opportunity to spend time with her loved ones. Alison faced many challenges throughout her life, but always remained resilient and strong. She had a caring spirit and a heart of gold. She showed compassion to those who needed it most and did her best to help anybody she could. She was a devoted Christian and a member of AME Zion Church. She had a relationship with Christ and was always looking to the word of God for guidance. Alison will be remembered for her strength and compassionate heart.
Alison is survived by her children, Brandon (Rosa) C. Scruggs of Inman, South Carolina, Samuel E. Scruggs of Waynesville, North Carolina and Faith (Tyler) S. Joyce; grandchild, Kaden C. Garrison; grandchildren by marriage, Sara Guerra and Jacob "JJ" West; mother, Donna (Don "D") C. Creason of Mint Hill, North Carolina; father, Stephen (Leslie) W. Musgrove of Charlotte, North Carolina; and brother, Bradley (Jamie) Musgrove of Dahlonega, Georgia.
A visitation for Alison will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
