A native of Scotland County, NC, Mr. Ivey was born to the late Gideon Ivey and Lula Chavis Ivey on November 27, 1934.
Mr. Ivey is survived by his wife, Betty Ivey of the home; by children, Phyllis Ivey and husband Stoney Bartley of Charlotte, Sharon Earle and husband Chris of Clover, SC and Jill Lindquist and husband Mike of Charlotte.
A memorial service will be held 2:00pm, Friday, July 8 at McEwen Funeral Services, Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Rd., with Pastor Joe Lawing officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
