Sylvia Shealy Shealy

Born in Newberry county, SC, she was the daughter of the late Raymond E . Shealy and Ruby Ringer Shealy.

Mrs. Shealy is survived by her daughter, Susan (Karl) Rauch and son, John Mark Shealy Jr., grandson, Karl (Courtney) Rauch Jr. and granddaughter-in law, Tammy F. Rauch; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Riley & Reid Rauch; a sister, Jonell (Gerald) Shealy all of Chapin and a sister-in-law, Judy H. Shealy of Little Mountain.

She is predeceased by her husband John Mark Shealy, Sr., grandson, Chris Rauch and brother Everette “Pete” Shealy.

She retired from Mepco in 1996 and had been an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church since her marriage to Mark on March 24, 1956, when she moved her membership from Holy Trinity in Little Mountain. Sylvia enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

The family would like to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to Renel Maddox, and Via Health Care staff Lisa T, Rebecca, Vi and Lisa.

Pallbearers will be her nephews; Kevin Shealy, Odell Fulmer, Mitchell Henderson, Mike Menasian, Patrick Fulmer and Will Fulmer.

A funeral service will be held on Friday October 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church 900 Dreher Island Rd. Chapin, SC 29036, the family will receive friends after the service in the fellowship hall.
