Mr. Morris attended Stanley High School, and joined the Marines after graduating. He was married to Shirley Morris for 40 years. He worked for Penske Truck Rental.
In addition to his wife, Shirley, he is also survived by his daughter, Cheryl M. Dowell (Tom); stepson, John S. Carter III (Nancy); stepdaughters, Phoebe Carter, Rianne Thomas; grandchildren, Jessica Carter Clendenin (Rob), Weston Thomas and two great-grandchildren, Carter and Willa Clendenin. He was predeceased by his parents, John Wilton Morris and Carrie Morris; son, Michael Morris and step son-in-law, Brian Thomas.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.
