Julian Mark Lever

Julian Mark Lever, known to many as “Wilson”, passed away with family by his side on September 3, 2022 at the age of 65. He was born on February 9, 1957 to Julian Thomas Lever and Betty Hensley (Ravan) in Columbia, South Carolina.

Not long after graduating from Chapin High School, Mark began his nearly forty-year-long career with South Carolina Electric & Gas. Beginning in childhood and continuing throughout his life, Mark’s inquisitive mindset and hard-working nature led him to become a skilled craftsman with a knack for working with his hands. When not working or tinkering in his shop, Mark loved to spend time outdoors fishing, kayaking, and camping. One of his favorite pastimes was building and flying radio-controlled airplanes, especially valuing the time flying with his close friends at the lake. He enjoyed spending time with his loving wife of three years, Jeanne. He appreciated those simple and cherished moments of watching Carolina football together at home with their beloved pit bull, Daisy, always at his side. Mark and his daughter, Krista, were two peas in a pod; they shared the same sense of humor and were always each other’s strongest supporters. From handling her home renovations to being a shoulder to cry on, there was nothing Mark wouldn’t do for her.

His generosity, humor, life lessons, and expansive knowledge will always be remembered.

Mark is predeceased by his brother and friend, Steve, and his son-in-law, Donovan. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; his daughter, Krista; Justin, who was like a son to him, as well as many wonderful friends and extended family.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel with a private graveside service.
